Bone augmentation
General anesthesia and sedation

Self-confidence and quality of life can suffer greatly if teeth are missing or cannot bear weight.

Enjoy carefree eating, speaking and smiling again! Our CAMLOG®, PATENT™ and ZERAMEX® implants provide a stable foundation for high-quality dentures. Thanks to our many years of experience, we know that a dental implant is often the best solution for replacing missing teeth. Unlike bridges, implants do not require adjacent teeth to be ground down.

Thanks to qualified planning and treatment as well as regular care and check-ups, implants can have a very long life. In our dental practice Höfe Adliswil – Dr. med. dent. Hans-Jörg Becker – we have extensive experience in dental technology. This enables us to offer you first-class treatment concepts.

As already mentioned, implants, implantology and bone augmentation require qualified planning and treatment.

Immediate care for a radiant smile

At our dental practice in Höfe Adliswil, we use state-of-the-art technology to revolutionize your immediate restoration. We optimize the process and thereby significantly increase your comfort as a patient. In just one session, the tooth is removed, an implant is placed and a high-precision temporary crown is fitted using CNC technology(⇢ CEREC Primemill). This minimizes your treatment time considerably and offers immediately resilient and aesthetic results.

We will be happy to help you:

A dental implant made of titanium or ceramic offers a high-quality and stable solution for tooth replacement.

If a tooth is lost, this not only affects the aesthetics, but can also severely impair the periodontium, which can lead to considerable problems when chewing. With high-quality implants as tooth replacements, we not only restore the aesthetics of your teeth, but also protect you from serious subsequent problems.

Thanks to our extensive experience in implantology and our wide range of options in the field of ⇢ single-tooth implants, implant bridges, partial dentures and full dentures, we can offer you high-quality and stable replacements for your missing natural teeth while preserving the surrounding natural tooth structure.

Dental implants? We will be happy to help you:

What is a dental implant and how can an implant replace a natural tooth?

Dental implants are artificial tooth roots made of tissue-friendly materials that are implanted in the jaw and fuse with the bone. In combination with a dental crown, they form a resilient dental prosthesis that is indistinguishable from natural teeth in terms of both form and function.

Implantate

Dental implants are often made of titanium, a high-purity metal that can withstand extreme loads. As an alternative to titanium, we are also happy to offer you ceramic implants if your individual tooth and jaw situation allows this.

Dental implants help to preserve the surrounding natural tooth structure.

If you opt for an implant, it is not necessary to grind down the surrounding teeth to create a supporting restoration, as is the case with conventional bridges. With an implant, the natural and healthy tooth structure can be preserved. However, the jawbone and gums should be healthy if dental implants are to be inserted. If this is not the case, bone augmentation measures can help to create optimal conditions.

Advantages of dental implants:

Frequently asked questions about implants:

Who are dental implants suitable for?

In principle, dental implants are suitable for almost every patient. At our Höfe Adliswil dental practice, we use dental implants to replace both individual gaps and larger missing teeth. If several teeth are missing, a bridge that is attached to two or more implants may be an option.

How long does an implant treatment take?

The treatment in our dental practice in Adliswil takes about 1-2 hours. This is followed by a healing phase of approx. 3-6 months, during which you wear a removable temporary denture or, in rare cases in the anterior region, a fixed screw-retained temporary denture is also possible.

Are there any risks involved in treatment with implants?

Every surgical procedure carries risks. Swelling, pain and sometimes infection can occur after the operation. However, our highly specialized and experienced implantology team at our dental practice in Adliswil works in a minimally invasive manner and thus helps to minimize the risks associated with the treatment as far as possible

When can the dental implant be fully loaded after insertion?

The healing time for dental implants is generally 3-6 months. The implants are then fully functional. If the bone situation is sufficient, a fixed temporary restoration can be inserted during the healing phase, which can be loaded immediately.

When can I return to sport after implantation?

After inserting a dental implant, you should refrain from sport and physical exertion for a few days.

How do you clean dental implants?

In general, dental implants should be cleaned just as carefully as natural teeth. Nevertheless, be careful when cleaning the implants and ensure that the spaces between the teeth are thoroughly cleaned. Special care should be taken after the operation to avoid inflammation.

How long do dental implants last?

With careful care, dental implants can last a lifetime.

Quality pays off.

We cordially invite you to a personal consultation at our Höfe Adliswil dental practice to inform you about our modern options for high-quality dental prostheses.

Other important questions in connection with implants:

For people who suffer from dental anxiety or prefer pain-free treatment, we offer special solutions in our practice. We understand that the thought of a visit to the dentist is associated with anxiety and worry for some people. That’s why we use modern technology and professional services to make your visit as pleasant as possible.

Through our partnership with NARKOSWISS, we offer you high-quality anesthesia and sedation services directly at our Höfe Adliswil dental practice. NARKOSWISS is a renowned provider that specializes in providing professional anesthesia solutions. Their modern mobile equipment meets the standards of contemporary operating theaters and ensures safe and comfortable treatment. Our primary concern is that our patients feel comfortable and relaxed during their visit with us, and we look forward to providing you with an anxiety-free dental appointment.

Dental implants in connection with pre-existing conditions

We carry out a thorough preliminary examination before every planned implantation. This examination is crucial to determine whether implantation is suitable for you. For example, if you have a bacterial infection such as periodontitis, this can jeopardize the success of an implantation. In the case of existing conditions such as diabetes, various blood disorders or osteoporosis, we always coordinate the planned procedure with your treating specialists in order to create an individual treatment plan.

However, there are also cases in which dental implantation is associated with particular health risks. These can be

  • an advanced tumor disease (e.g. cancer)
  • a recent heart attack or stroke
  • poorly controlled diabetes
  • mental illnesses (e.g. depression)

Treatment options with dental implants:

Treatment options with dental implants:

Single tooth restoration

A single-tooth restoration offers an ideal solution for gaps caused by individual missing teeth. An implant is inserted into the jawbone in place of the missing tooth. This implant then takes over the role of the former tooth root. In combination with a custom-made dental crown, the implant fulfills the function of the lost tooth. The implant is virtually indistinguishable from a real tooth, both visually and functionally.

Multi-unit restoration

A multi-unit restoration is ideal for treating larger gaps between teeth. If several teeth next to each other are missing or have to be removed, the dental implants on the left and right take on the function of anchor teeth. In the case of very large gaps, an additional dental implant in the middle ensures that the bridge is held securely in place. Thanks to the high-quality workmanship of our products, even multi-unit restorations are characterized by high functionality and attractive aesthetics.

Longer, multi-unit restoration

Continuously missing teeth can also be restored with dental implants, which offers our patients a high-quality alternative to conventional restoration with a denture and palatal plate, which is often perceived as uncomfortable. Another advantage is that the implants counteract bone loss.

Immediate restoration All-on-4 and All-on-6 for completely edentulous jaws

The modern All-on-4 or All-on-6 treatment concept enables immediate and fixed dentures for a completely toothless jaw. With just four implants, you receive an immediately loadable restoration. This surgical solution ensures a fast, safe and cost-effective treatment procedure that provides you with fixed and esthetic teeth on the day of treatment.

Bone augmentation:

As a highly specialized dental practice, we have invested a lot of time in training and further education to learn modern surgical techniques. This enables us to treat you as a patient in the best possible way using the safest bone augmentation procedures currently available.

If there is not enough bone material available, we can rebuild your bone using special procedures. In our modern practice in Höfe Adliswil, diagnostic options play a decisive role. 3D diagnostics (3D X-ray and 3D scan) enable us to plan the bone augmentation precisely. The missing bone portion is calculated exactly and built up precisely.

Only a sufficiently available or specially created bone supply ensures successful treatment and a favorable long-term prognosis for artificial tooth roots (implants).

Procedure of the treatment:

  1. During a detailed consultation in our practice in Höfe Adliswil, you can explain your wishes to us and we will advise you on all the possibilities of modern implantology.
  2. We examine your teeth, your jawbones and your general state of health. If you have any pre-existing conditions or if necessary or desired, we will also contact your specialists. This enables us to comprehensively rule out all risks.
  3. Using a 3D DVT X-ray, we then create three-dimensional images of your jawbone and teeth as well as the maxillary sinus, the nerve tracts and the surrounding tissue. These images allow us to see very precisely where we need to insert the implants.
  4. Thanks to state-of-the-art digital implantology in our practice in Höfe Adliswil, we can plan the placement of the implants precisely in advance and thus perform the procedure later, usually with minimal invasiveness. Using a 3D DVT X-ray image, we “match” the 3D scan and thus create the customized implant template. Possible difficulties can thus be identified and discussed before the operation and not just during the implantation.
  5. After implantation, we take a scan and adjust the temporary restoration if necessary.
  6. Dental implants usually heal very well after around 3 months in the lower jaw and 6 months in the upper jaw. We then replace the temporary prosthesis with the customized prosthesis made for you.
