Digital volume tomography (DVT) is a state-of-the-art 3D-based X-ray procedure with comparatively low radiation exposure.
3D X-rays offer numerous advantages: It enables the visualization of superimposed teeth, unexpected nerve canal courses, hidden roots and temporomandibular joint abnormalities. 3D images are extremely valuable for a variety of diagnoses.

Our 3D X-ray units from Dentsply Sirona not only provide safe imaging for diagnostics, but also ensure a comfortable and efficient experience for you as a patient during your treatment. The excellent image quality enables precise diagnoses and optimal planning of all necessary treatments.
Your body posture and head tilt are automatically recognized, which ensures precise X-ray images at all times and also makes treatment more comfortable for you.
Digital treatment workflow
Our customized practice software is designed to optimally support our digital workflows and provide you with all the relevant visual data for your treatment at a glance at any time – whether in 2D panorama, 3D or intraorally.
The option of comparing 2D and 3D images as well as camera images and face scan data side by side on one screen provides us with optimum support during diagnosis. This also allows you as a patient to be optimally integrated into the treatment process, and we can present all treatment options and our suggestions to you in an understandable way.

Example of a treatment procedure in which CAD/CAM-fabricated crowns are used on implants with our CEREC Primemill:
1st session
Scan:
The first step is to take all the photos required for planning:
a) CEREC Primescan for the intraoral impression of prosthetics.
b) 3D X-ray images (DVT) for surgical planning.
Planning:
The prosthetic proposal (scan) and the X-ray data are merged in the software. This is used to plan the implant and produce the appropriate surgical template.
2nd session
Placement:
Next, the implant is inserted safely and easily using the drilling template, which allows us to work in a minimally invasive way and makes treatment much more comfortable for you as a patient.
3rd session
Restoration:
In the final step, the crown is planned, which we then produce quickly and with high precision in our own practice using the CEREC Primemill CAD/CAM-supported CNC production unit.
The crown is then immediately inserted with a precise fit and the fit is checked with a 3D Low Dose scan.

With our in-house CEREC Primemill, we use modern CAD technology and CAM strategies to produce high-quality dental restorations easily, quickly and precisely in our practice. Thanks to a wide range of material options from Dentsply Sirona and other certified partners, a variety of indications can be treated directly in our practice in the shortest possible time.
